Paula Tollett is a Brighton based photographic artist. Her work begins autobiographically, focusing on the relationships between space and place whilst also touching on themes of time and memory. Paula is interested in human interaction through the use of the environment and how photography can be used to explore the complexity of the relationship between space and place. Themes of identity, intimacy, and vulnerability recurrent throughout the work. The series "It's Been a While" is a current work in progress project exploring the complex relationship between place attachment and the home, sharing the relationship Paula shares with her hometown and how time, memory, and distance can have an impact on emotional attachment to environment.
